Call for Proposal for FY2024 Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A/B)

Application guidelines have been released for FY2024 Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A/B).

If you are applying for Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A/B), please follow the procedures below.

When applying as a Head Investigator for Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A)

  1. Apply for issuance of a temporary area number on the JSPS electronic application system.
  2. When you receive your "temporary area number", email the number to our office.
  3. After confirming the contents of the application documents, the Principal Investigators of each research project will be informed of "temporary area number", "application information (items to be entered in the website)", and the submission schedule of "Research Area Proposal (Form S-71: word file)" which includes an outline of the planned research.
  4. The Principal Investigators of each planned research project will send you the "Application Information" in PDF format on the electronic application system.
    Review the information, and if no modifications are necessary, click the "Confirm" button.
    After clicking the "Confirm" button, the information will be reflected in the "Application Information (items to be entered in the website)".
    If any corrections are necessary, click the "Reject" button.

  5. Prepare an "Research Area Proposal (Form S-71: word file)".
  6. Enter the "Application Information (items to be entered in the website)" for the Head Investigator (Administrative Group), and submit the application through the electronic application system.
  7. Once the application information of all Principal Investigators for the research plan is complete and the "Research Area Proposal (Form S-71: word file)" is completed, the application should be sent through the electronic application system.
  8. Submit the PDF file created on the electronic application system after the transmission process to our office as an e-mail attachment.

  9. The final version of the document, reflecting the request for correction from the secretariat, will be sent on the system, and the PDF file created afterwards will be submitted to our office as an e-mail attachment.

When applying as a Principal Investigator for Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A)

  1. Confirm the "temporary area number" and the submission schedule for the "application information (items to be entered in the website)" with the Head Investigator.
  2. Send the "application information (items to be entered in the website)" to the Head Investigator by the due date of each organization.

When applying as a Head Investigator for Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (B)

  1. Apply for issuance of a temporary area number on the JSPS electronic application system.
  2. When you receive your "temporary area number", email the number to our office.
  3. After confirming the set of application documents, the Principal Investigator of each planned research project will be informed of the "tentative area number" and the submission schedule of research plan outline page for "Research Proposal Document (Form S-78:word file)" and "Research Area Proposal (Summary Version Form S-75:word file)" 
  4. The Principal Investigators of each planned research project will send you "Research Proposal Document (Form S-78:word file)" on the electronic application system. Review the information, and if no modifications are necessary, click the "Confirm" button. After clicking the "Confirm" button, the information will be reflected in the "Application Information (items to be entered in the website)". If any corrections are necessary, click the "Reject" button.
  5. Prepare an "Research Area Proposal (Form S-75:word file, Form S-76:word file)" and a "Research Proposal Document (Form S-77:word file)" for the Administrative Group.
  6. Enter the "Application Information (items to be entered in the website)" for the Head Investigator (Administrative Group), and submit the application through the electronic application system.
  7. When all the Principal Investigators' "Research Proposal Document (Form S-78:word file)," " Research Area Proposal (Form S-75:word file, Form S-76:word file)" and "Research Proposal Document (Form S-77:word file)" for the Administrative Group have been completed, they will be sent to the electronic application system for processing. After completing the "Form S-75:word file" and "Research Proposal Document (Form S-77:word file)" for the Administrative Group, send them through the electronic application system.
  8. Submit the PDF file created on the electronic application system after the transmission process to our office as an e-mail attachment.
