[Call for Proposals] Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A/B) for FY2027
The Application Procedures for the FY2027 Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas(A/B) have been released.
Application Procedures at Hiyoshi Campus
- Confirmation of Eligibility
Please obtain the Application Procedures from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) website and verify your eligibility to apply. Please also check the restriction on parallel grant applications.
- Verification of e-Rad Registration Information
To access the KAKENHI Electronic Application System, a Researcher Number, Login ID, and Password for the Cross-Ministerial Research and Development Management System (e-Rad) are required.
If you do not have these, please promptly submit an "ID/Password Issuance Request Form"to the Office of RD & Sponsored Projects, Hiyoshi Campus.
If you have forgotten your password, please refer to page 27 and subsequent pages of the e-Rad Operation Manual. - Submission of Application and Recommendation Forms *Non-full-time researchers only
At Keio University, for non-full-time researchers (Professors Emeriti, part-time lecturers, part-time project faculty members, and part-time researchers) to apply for KAKENHI, it is necessary to submit an application form and a letter of recommendation prior to applying, in accordance with the "Guidelines on the Eligibility for KAKENHI Application."
Please review the guidelines here, fill out and affix your seal to the application and recommendation forms according to the examples provided, and promptly submit them to the Office of RD & Sponsored Projects, Hiyoshi Campus. - Issuance of a Provisional Area Number
Please promptly submit a request for the issuance of a "Provisional Area Number" via the KAKENHI Electronic Application System and inform the Office of RD and Sponsored Projects, Hiyoshi Campus. -
Preparation of Research Proposal and Preliminary Review
Please prepare your "Research Proposal Document" via the KAKENHI Electronic Application System. Before submitting it through the system, please send the draft version (Version 0) of your Research Proposal Document in PDF format as an email attachment to the Office of RD and Sponsored Projects, Hiyoshi Campus by 17:00 on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. We will review the content and provide feedback.
Furthermore, regarding the "Securing Research Integrity," from FY2024 onwards, applications cannot be made unless the Principal Investigator and all Co-Investigators have registered their status of pledge on e-Rad; therefore, please confirm the registration method from here and take the necessary action. - Submission of the Research Proposal via the KAKENHI Electronic Application System
Please submit your proposal via the KAKENHI Electronic Application System, and then provide the final PDF version of the Research Proposal to our office by the deadline of 17:00 on Monday, June 8, 2026.
- Applying as a Principal Investigator for Planned Research in Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A/B)
No specific deadline will be set by this office, as the submission timeline follows the deadline established by the Head Investigator’s research institution. Please contact us whenever you reach the stage where institutional approval is required.
