[British Council Researcher Connect Online Training]
- A researcher development program that promotes the training of young researchers for the global expansion of international collaborative research.

This eight-day, three-hour program focuses on improving communication skills that will be useful in researchers working internationally. Participants will learn strategic social media usage, how to approach collaborators and co-researchers, academic writing, presentations, and the use of AI in actual research processes.

■ Program Overview
Training Dates and Times:
[Week 1] January 19th (Mon) - 22nd (Thu), 2026, 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM (Japan Time)
[Week 2] January 26th (Mon) - 29th (Thu), 2026, 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM (Japan Time)
Target Audience:
• Young researchers (within the last five years of completing their doctoral studies) affiliated with a Japanese university or research institution (regardless of nationality).
• Research administrators (URAs) affiliated with a Japanese university who are relatively early in their careers and involved in supporting young researchers in their research.
• Participants must be able to participate in the entire 8-day program.
• English proficiency equivalent to CEFR B2 (IELTS 5.5-6.5 / TOEFL 72-94) is required (the training will be conducted entirely in English).
• Participants must be able to set at least one outcome for participation and strive to achieve it. (For example, sharing what they learned in the training with colleagues or collaborators.)
Capacity: Approximately 15 people from Japan. *Selection will be conducted if there are many applicants.
Participation Fee: Free (The British Council will cover the cost of this training.)
