2026 KGRI Grant

Keio University Global Research Institute (KGRI) serves as a platform for Keio University to promote world-class interdisciplinary research.
KGRI has restructured the former "KGRI Challenge Grant" into the newly expanded "KGRI Grant" to accommodate a wider range of researchers.
Applicants can now choose from two categories based on the scale of their research.

 

[Application Categories (Grant Amounts)]
A) Formation of research projects and building a track record for securing external funding (up to 1 million JPY per year, for 2 years in principle).
B) Strategic research aimed at applying for larger competitive funding than previously secured (up to 3 million JPY per year, for a maximum of 2 years, with a total cap of 5 million JPY).
